A policeman and a worker were injured Thursday when two sonic bombs went off near el-Sayed el-Badawi shrine in the Nile Delta city of Tanta, the Interior Ministry said.
According to a statement, the bombs damaged the facades of street shops and slightly wounded a policeman and a worker.
Explosive experts were deployed to the place to comb the area for more possible threats
Earlier reports by the Health Ministry said that 11 people were injured in the blasts.
