Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat on Tuesday ordered a ban on publishing any news over current investigations into rigging the presidential elections of 2012.
A decision by the chief prosecutor included banning the publication of any reports until the end of the probe and the announcement of its results.
The ban includes all media outlets, newspapers and daily and weekly bulletins.
A daily newspaper has claimed that it will publish documents related to the issue, a state of affairs that urged the top prosecutor to issue the decision
