Diocese of Minya for Orthodox Copts hailed Wednesday the efforts exerted by Muslims of Abu Qurqas district, Minya province, in controlling fire that erupted in Mari Girgis church there.
Part of the clay-built church was damaged with no casualties reported.
In a statement, the Diocese thanked the district citizens who did their best to control the fire.
