Tunisian President Munsif al-Marzouqi.

Caretaker President Moncef Marzouki pledges to separate between performing his duties as President of the Republic and the requirements of his electoral campaign, Adnène Mansar who has just been appointed director and official spokesman for his electoral campaign, said.
Speaking, Saturday, to the media, after Marzouki's submission of his candidacy for the presidential poll, Mansar stated that the candidate of the Congress of the Republic also commits not to make use of the Presidency of the Republic's financial resources to serve his electoral campaign.
For the funding of the major part of his electoral campaign, Marzouki will rely on the sales proceeds of his new book "we will win or we will win for the Arab Spring," to be published shortly, Mansar noted.
All the accounting data of the election campaign of Marzouki will be posted on a special website reserved for that purpose, he further said.
Adnan Mansar has, on the other hand, announced that the Caretaker President has accepted the resignation of all members of the presidential cabinet candidates for the legislative elections and that of "advisors wishing to get involved in his campaign."
He read out to the media a statement in which the Caretaker President and Honorary President of the Congress for the Republic "calls upon all components of the Tunisian political class to endeavour during the forthcoming political events to give a positive image that of a democratic, free and fair competition and to respect the principle of transparency."
