Libya's House of Representatives Speaker Aguila Saleh, Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thani and Chief of General Staff Major General Abdel Razek Nazawra held Saturday an emergency meeting at the government's headquarters in Al-Byda city.
The Libyan Government said in a statement the meeting focused on the humanitarian situation of the displaced people who were forced to leave their towns as a result of military operations.
The meeting also discussed the problem of the shortage of basic foodstuffs in districts that have hosted some of the displaced.
