A Libyan parliamentary delegation inspected Benghazi's Benina town, airport and air base on Sunday, the scene of armed clashes between the army and militias in the past period.
Twenty lawmakers have visited the town to stand on the damage caused by armed groups over the past weeks, MP Eissa al-Aribi said in brief statements following the visit.
Libya was immediately plunged into war after the 2011 revolution that toppled longtime ruler Muammar Gaddafi. Interim governments since then have failed to rebuild a national army and have been forced to rely on armed militias to stand up to Islamist insurgency.
