Libyan National Assebly, at a meeing held in city of Tobruk, asked Libyan Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Thinni to form the new government within a period of time not exceeding two weeks, a spokesman said on Monday .
Libyan News Agency (LANA) said the move came as the government said it had lost control of most ministries and state institutions located in Tripoli after rival armed groups took over the capital.
LANA added that the the majority of members voted in favour of the first proposal assigning Al-Thinini to form an 18-ministerial portfolios government, including seven ministries as a crisis mini-government.
