Libya's Special Forces urged on Tuesday members of Shura Council of Benghazi Revolutionaries to lay down their arms and hand them over to the Libyan Army.
The Special Forces said in a statement issued Late Monday that "This is the last call for Benghazi residents, who are members of these militias," particularly youth soldiers.
The statement called on members of these militias who have a desire to join the Libyan army, or the ministries of interior and defense to formally apply to the competent authorities. Those who will fulfill the requirements of the state will enter the Libyan military collage, the statement added.
the statement stressed that those whose names were published on social networks should not be worried if they were not involved in actions against the government.
Benghazi city is witnessing clashes between Shura Council of Benghazi Revolutionaries and the Libyan Army, killing and injuring dozens.
