The interim Libyan government denounced on Tuesday remarks by Libya's Mufti Sadek el-Gheriani in which he accused Egypt and the UAE of launching military strikes on some Libyan cities.
"These remarks have many fallacies and do not suit the post of the Libyan Mufti," the government said in a statement.
The statement added that the remarks violate the legitimacy granted by the people to the parliament and government.
