Prominent leftist politician and labor activist Abul-Ezz el-Hariri died Wednesday at 68 years old after a struggle with disease.
Serving as a former member of parliament, socialist and labor activist, Abul-Ezz has a long record of fighting for social justice over the course of the last 45 years.
El-Hariri, a leading member in the Popular Current party, was receiving treatment in a hospital in Alexandria.
Hariri's funeral will be held on Thursday in Al-Qaed Ibrahim mosque in Alexandria.
