His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah is an "asset for the Arab nation", said Lebanese Minister for Social Affairs Rashid Darbas Friday.
Speaking to KUNA, the minister affirmed that Kuwait was amongst the chief nations when it came to humanitarian efforts, noting that honoring His Highness the Amir as a "humanitarian leader" was something not out the ordinary.
Lebanon will always remember His Highness for his support, said Darbas, who indicated that aiding Lebanon in accommodating the Syrian refugees fleeing from the war in their country since 2011 was very helpful.
The UN will honor His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah this month at the UN headquarters in New York for his effort within the humanitarian domain. (end) mah.gta
