Cairo - MENA
Saudi Arabia would host on Thursday an Arab-West meeting at the level of foreign ministers to discuss ways of stopping Daesh's advance in Iraq and Syria, Al-Watan newspaper reported.
Well-informed sources told Al-Watan that foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council, US, Lebanon and Jordan would attend the meeting as well as a number of foreign ministers of the European Union.
The sources added that Iran was not invited to attend the meeting.
Developing a unified strategy to combat terrorism in general and the Daesh terrorist group in particular would be high on the meeting's agenda, according to the sources.
