Iraq's Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi

Iraq's Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has called on security forces to ensure "precise targeting" on terrorists and avoid hitting the civilians, Iraqi News Agency reported.
In a statement issued Tuesday, Abadi praised security forces as "heroes" for confronting "the terrorist gangs."
Iraqi Armed Forces backed by aircraft have managed to take control of Mosul Dam in northern Iraq.
Earlier in the day, Iraqi forces launched a wide security campaign to retake the city of Tikrit, hometown of late president Saddam Hussein.
