MP, of the Fadhilah Islamic Party, Aqeel al-Zubaidi to intensify intelligence effort to fight terrorism and its cells, which began activity, especially in the provinces of the Middle Euphrates.
Zubaidi said in a statement today that "the security forces in the province of Karbala should adopt modern ways of security in the fight against terrorism and intensify the intelligence effort in the province, as well as continue to train security forces to gain more experience in fighting terrorist cells, which began operating in the provinces of the Middle Euphrates."
He described the bombings that hit Karbala recently as "part of a scheme designed to create chaos in the stable provinces, which carries religious symbolism for millions of Muslims in Iraq and the world."
The city of Karbala, during the past two days, has seen a series of terrorist bombings, which affected several districts, killing and wounding a number of civilians.
