Baghdad - MENA
As many as 13,000 Iraqi soldiers would, in a few days, reach Speicher Base to participate in a military operation to free Salahuddin province, said a well-placed official in the province.
The formidably armed soldiers would be supported by the American Air Force to combat the militants of al Qaeda splinter terrorist group of Daesh, the source added.
He noted that dozens of American military advisers are gathered in Speicher base, pointing out that this base has been chosen as "operation command point" by the American Central Command for being one of the biggest bases in Iraq.
