Iraq's army units have sent troops to regain control of two areas north of Baghdad from Daesh militants, Sky News reported Friday.
Special forces and elite units have been sent to the areas to expel militants, a well-placed security source said.
Earlier in the day, the province of Anbar was targeted by two separate attacks, leaving 17 security men, and 40 Daesh fighters dead.
