Intensive preparations are being held in different Egyptian provinces ahead of the Eidul-Adha, due on Saturday.
In Beheira province, northern Egypt, Governor Mustafa Hadhoud gave directives to the directorates of veterinary medicine, health, and supply a to conduct joint campaigns to check meat available on the market.
He gave orders that market should be provided with all necessary goods and foodstuffs with affordable prices for consumers, along with the availability of butane cylinders.
Hadhoud demanded cancellation of all vacations for doctors, nurses, and supply inspectors during this occasion.
Meantime, Beni Suef Governor Magdi el-Betiti said the province allocated as many as 60 cattle to be distributed among the needy.
All poor families will receive 2 kilograms of meat each, el-Betiti assured.
The cattle was granted by UAE under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture's department for livestock and Armed Forces' national services.
