Palestinian movement Hamas said France’s announcement to postpone an international summit on Middle East peace was another proof of the failure of the settlement option.

In a press release, Hamas spokesman Samy Abu Zahry called on the Fatah leadership to give up “political nonsense and settlement delusions” and return to national basics and resistance.

The summit will take place in the summer because US Secretary of State cannot attend on the planned date of 30 May, French President François Hollande said earlier.
