Three people on Wednesday were injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire on a main police station in the Upper Egyptian province of Assuit.
Eyewitnesses said that the gunmen randomly opened fire on the police station and fled away.
The injured people were transferred to Assuit public hospital.
Police troops immediately cordoned off the scene, in a bid to identify the culprits.
