Gulf Cooperation Council chiefs meeting

Chiefs of staff of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states arrived here to attend the consultative meeting of the 12th higher military committee, due to open on Wednesday.
The two-day meeting is part of a series of meetings by GCC top brass aiming to achieve greater military cooperation among GCC armed forces, Kuwait's Army Moral Guidance Directorate said in a press statement.
The meeting aims to strengthen joint military action and achieve greater coordination among GCC armies at the behest of political leaderships of the GCC countries.
The meeting also aims to enhance military cooperation and joint defense operations through common vision and work of various military sectors in the GCC countries.
Upon their arrival, the military officials were received by Kuwait's Army Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Khaled Mohammad Khuder.
