Gharbia security director Osama Bedir denied on Sunday claims that the families of 20 MB defendants tried to help their relatives to flee at Mahalla courts complex.
News websites claimed the defendants' families gathered at the courts complex and clashed with security forces in an attempt to help their relatives to flee.
The 20 MB defendants are accused of rioting and inciting violence in a village in Gharbia.
