GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani strongly condemned “the brutal massacre” perpetrated by an Iraqi sectarian militia against worshipers at Mus’ab Bin Omair Mosque in Diyala Governorate in Iraq.
“Such despicable terrorist crimes run counter to all religious, moral and humanitarian values,” Al-Zayani said in a statement on Sunday.
“This brutal attack on armless worshippers who are guests of God reflects the moral degeneration and the abhorrent ideology of the sectarian militias,” he pointed out.
The GCC chief called for swiftly identifying those responsible for this brutal crime and bringing them to justice.
