Alexandria Criminal Court

Alexandria Criminal Court on Tuesday sentenced fugitive businessman Hussein Salem and his son and daughter to 10 years in prison each over corruption charges.
They were convicted of selling electricity via a direct order without respecting and adhering to the correct legal procedures.
The court also sentenced four others to seven years in prison and six to one year suspended term each.
All the defendants were fined 11,125,890 pounds in the case no. 1155 of 2013 in which they were accused of squandering public funds.
