An explosive device went off near the Karamah Border

Under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces and instructions from Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat, a Royal Jordanian Air Force plane Friday airlifted 4 Iraqi soldiers, who were injured when an explosive device went off near the Karamah Border Crossing.

The incident took place inside Iraqi territories near the border with Jordan. Medical sources at the King Hussein Medical Center, where the troops are being treated, said the military personnel received severe injuries, extreme blood loss and lower limbs amputation.

Surgeons from different medical specialties at the King Hussein Medical Center are currently providing the necessary medical procedures to the wounded.
