Cairo - MENA
The two main Palestinian factions, Fatah and Hamas, have reached a comprehensive agreement to share power and work jointly to end the Gaza blockade and reconstruct the Gaza Strip.
In a joint statement issued following their negotiations in Cairo, the two sides said that under the agreement, a technocratic “conciliation” government would oversee Gaza, including the crossing points in and out of the territory.
They called on friends of the Palestinians and supporters of the Palestinian rights to attend an international donors conference for the rebuilding of the Gaza Strip that will be hosted by Cairo on October 12.
