Fatah Movement said on Thursday that holding a meeting by the new Palestinian government in the Gaza Strip is an important step towards unity of Palestinian factions.
The movement's spokesperson Osama Al-Qawasmi made the remarks on Thursday adding "All Palestinian factions are determined to boost national unity."
Fatah movement adopted a platform which mainly depends on the national unity and establishment of state institutions, he said.
Also, Al-Qawasmi voiced pride over the accomplishment made to obtain the title of an 'independent state' in the United Nations.
Palestine has subsequently taken steps to join the major international institutions and conventions.
