Egyptian President Abdelfattah al-Sisi

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi reiterated that the Arab Gulf's security is a redline and an integral and inseparable part of Egypt's national security.
This came during an interview with Saudi-based "Okaz" newspaper – part two of which - published today.
President El-Sisi said that the Egyptian Army is always morally and combat-prepared and ready and constantly alert, active, effective in carrying out its duties of safeguarding national security, borders, as attested by its accomplished successes. He cited the significance and success of the latest maneuvers held by the Egyptian Army "Badr2014" which was the biggest ever live-ammo exercises in the history of Egyptian Armed Forces, and which included the provision of similar-to-real-war conditions, full command-and-control of the forces throughout all operational phases covered by the Naval Forces and implemented jobs of traversing water barriers, and used live ammunition. The drill included live ammunition activities.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi also said that there are regional and international sides seeking a sort of role in the region, and attempting by all means to create for themselves a foothold on the map of effective powers. He said that these sides erroneously thought that the creation of a new regional order would provide them an opportunity to assume a leading regional role, but the result as we can all see, was civil wars, sectarian conflicts, wasting of capabilities, peoples paying the price, and we moved to the point of "no order".
El Sisi stressed that in the end nothing but the truth shall prevail, alluding to the increasingly-growing awareness of various international powers, including the superpowers, about the real situations in the region.
