Read out to UNESCO executive board

Read out to UNESCO executive board, an Egyptian statement has stressed once again that the Palestinian cause tops priorities of the Egyptian state.
Palestinians are still expecting to establish their independent state, without which there is no chance for comprehensive peace in the region, the statement said.
It also underscored UNESCO's role in protecting the Palestinian cultural heritage.
Mohamed Sameh Amr, Egypt's Ambassador to UNESCO, said the statement also focused on issues related to Egypt's ambitious development plan, with education in the heart of it.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi gives top priority to education because it is key to achieving development, Amr said. (MENA)
