The Council of Governors held a meeting under Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab to discuss the enforcement of security measures set by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in the aftermath of a deadly terror attack that hit North Sinai on Friday.
The meeting probed the new plan to combat terrorists and counter their operations, and offer the needed funding.
The president had instructed to immediately start applying security measures, protect civilians present in border areas and secure vital state institutions in the governorates.
