The Egyptian government under Prim Minster Ibrahim Mahlab on Wednesday agreed to a draft resolution amending the traffic law and toughening up penalties on violators.
The amendments came in response to the frequent road accidents.
The cabinet has decided to send the draft resolution to the Council of State for reviewing.
