Egypt strongly condemns the storming of the Aqsa precincts in al-Quds (East Jerusalem) by Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli troops, spokesman for the Foreign Ministry says.
"Egypt also condemns the incident of setting ablaze a mosque in Nablus city by Israeli settlers as a criminal act," the spokesman added on Tuesday.
"Egypt calls for probing the incidents and holding those responsible accountable," he said.
"These practices are not acceptable and represent violations to all international norms as well as undermine peace efforts," he concluded.
