Council of Ministers meeting on Tuesday examined and adopted a bill on electronic signature and certification, as part of the confidence-building process to dematerialize and facilitate economic exchange, a Council's statement has said.
The bill also intends to achieve "the modernization of the administration through digital technology," said the statement.
It includes "the required conditions for electronic signature and certification with probative force from the legal viewpoint."
Several authorities will be set up as part of the law: the national authority at the Prime Minister, the governmental authority at the minister of Post and Information Technologies and Communication and the economic authority for electronic certification at the Regulatory Authority for Post and Telecommunications (ARPT), according to the statement.
The establishment of electronic signature and certification has especially been one of employers' requests in order to facilitate economic transactions and secure data.
