Pakistani drug smuggler Sanaullah Mohammed Amir has today been executed in Qatif Governorate in Eastern Region in Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry of Interior said that the convict had attempted to smuggle a large quantity of heroin into Saudi Arabia.
In a statement posted on Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the ministry said that the General Court convicted the smuggler, pointing out the sentence was upheld by Appeal and Supreme Courts.
The Ministry of Interior warned that anyone who attempts to commit such crimes will be punished in compliance with the Sharia precepts.
