A criminal prisoner died of heart attack on Thursday during his custody at Deir Mawas's police station, in the Upper Egypt governorate of Minya.
The suspect has been placed in custody pending investigations since March over charges of possessing weapons without license and leading a gang in Assuit province.
He suddenly suffered from stroke during his detention, and then he was moved to hospital but passed away before arriving there.
No criminal suspicion was behind his death, the hospital said.
