Cairo - Arab Today
The Council of Governors on Saturday agreed to allocate 10% of the social housing units for administrative evacuation and emergency cases.
The administrative evacuation cases include people who are forced to leave their houses that pose risks to their lives and need to be renovated or demolished.
The emergency cases include disasters like quakes, floods and fires, which affect the safety of the houses.
The move comes as response to requests by a number of governorates to allocate a quota of the social housing units to the unsafe slums, urgent sheltering and dilapidated buildings.
