Cairo - MENA
The Conference Party has praised Egypt's diplomacy that helped reach a long truce between Israel and the Palestinians.
Under the truce, Israel should lift the siege it imposes on Gaza and completely stop its attacks on the enclave.
The truce reflects the strength and pivotal role Egypt plays, the party said in a statement Wednesday.
Cairo has a historical sense of responsibility toward the Palestinian cause, the party noted.
The Egyptian initiative was meant to spare Palestinian blood, the Conference Party said.
According to the party, the Israeli aggression only served interests of a number of regional parties.
Egypt has always allowed the delivery of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, the party said, stressing that some satellite channels falsely reported otherwise with the aim to foment tension in the region.
The Conference Party congratulated the Palestinians in Gaza on the truce.
"We congratulate ourselves on the stop of Palestinian bloodshed," the party also said.
