Calm prevailed on Monday the vicinity of Ittihadiya presidential palace with a rising number of tents of sitters-in. MENA correspondent said protesters pitched tents in the opposite side of Gate 3 and Gate 4 of the palace. Popular committees continued to check IDs of flowing protesters. The protesters announced on Sunday an open sit-in until President Mohamed Morsi abdicates power. Merghani Street is closed.
