Cairo Security Chief Major General Ali El Demerdash made a surprise visit Wednesday to security sites downtown Cairo to inspect security status after the relocation of street hawkers.
On Sunday, a relocation campaign was launched in downtown Cairo to evacuate vendors from the streets of downtown Cairo and lasted for three days.
El Demerdash also made sure that the vendors will not attempt returning to their previous locations.
