The Head of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Nechirvan Barzani congratulated Prime Minister Haider Abadi on the occasion of the formation of the government.
A statement of the Kurdistan Regional Government quoted Barzani as saying, in his congratulatory letter: "We hope the new Iraqi government, be an inclusive government for all the components , and be a factor in improving the situation of the country in all respects, and be able to address all the problems, especially in the provision of security and stability and an end to terrorism, and make all its efforts to achieve the welfare and ensure the delivery of services to the Iraqi people. "
He added, "We also hope that the new Iraqi government to benefit from the mistakes of the previous government, and to take serious steps to address the problems between Erbil and Baghdad, in order not to be these problems a cause to weaken Iraq and the failure of its governments."
The Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has won the confidence of government formation in an emergency session of parliament on Monday evening.
