Chairman of the Shura Council Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh has affirmed that the international appreciation of the Bahraini women's role is the outcome of the advanced status granted to them by the reform project, which has ensured them all the rights guaranteed for men, and given them the opportunity to gain access to all positions through political, economic and social empowerment.
He was speaking during a ceremony held by the Shura council to honour Munira Isa bin Hindi Al-Mannae on her appointment as Women's Goodwill Ambassador on the Kingdom of Bahrain, in the presence of the Speaker of the Council of Representatives Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani and a number of Shura Council members.
Al Saleh expressed his pride in this accomplishment, affirming that Al-Mannae had a remarkable impact on women matters, being the chairwoman and member of the Women and Children Affairs' Committee, as she contributed to improving the society through several projects and laws, wishing her success in her new duties.
Al Dhahrani lauded Al-Mannae's efforts and contributions in legislative work, especially in the field of women, children and the disabled affairs, stressing her efficiency and ability to perform the tasks assigned to her in a way that honours the Kingdom of Bahrain at the international level.
