Children’s magazine, ‘Watani’, (My Homeland) was launched at several schools in Bahrain on Monday in line with the Ministry of Interior's strategy of development, modernisation and actively promoting community partnership.
The move reflects the Minister of Interior Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa's support and keenness on protecting the youth and inculcating the spirit of loyalty among them.
Police Media Director Colonel Mohammed Bin Daina said that the monthly magazine was distributed for free among all schools and children-related institutions, adding that the magazine addresses all children and focuses on safety and security.
Colonel Bin Daina asserted that the magazine was designed to attract children to the values of national culture through cumulative experiences and promote security awareness as well as love and loyalty for the nation.
The magazine is committed to meeting the required scientific, educational and artistic standards, he said.
The Police Media Director said that the magazine had gone through many phases and ample time was devoted to study the project, attract the best Arab expertise and adopt the best scientific approach to publish it. He said the preparation phase included interaction with the targeted audiences in cooperation with the relevant organisations in Bahrain.
