Minister of Interior, Lt-Gen Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, today chaired the 31st Traffic Council meeting, in the presence of Education Minister, Dr. Majid Al-Nuaimi, Works Minister, Eng. Essam Khalaf, Transportation Minister, Kamal Ahmed and Interior Affairs State Minister, Maj-Gen Adel bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
Interior Minister praised all efforts aimed at attaining traffic safety and protecting road users, and underlined the importance of benefiting from modern technology and expertise of developed countries to achieve traffic safety.
Works Minister gave a brief overview on future development of road network in the country and the smart transportation system that will assist in maintaining smooth traffic flow.
