Sheikh Adnan Abdullah al-Qattan

The Kingdom of Bahrain's Hajj Mission chief Sheikh Adnan Abdullah Al-Qattan said that certain hajj pilgrims who were turned back from the King Abdulaziz Airport belonged to two Bahraini contractors/caravans.
Both officially-licensed hajj contractors failed to comply with the 70-member ceiling of permissible hajj pilgrims per caravanserai. They even exceeded their official permitted number and also included members who did not obtain prior hajj permit.
Al-Qattan added that the Kingdom's Hajj Mission and in cooperation with the Saudi Ministry for Hajj and the Kingdom's General Consulate in Jeddah followed the matter of this incident and coordinated with the competent authorities whereas those hajj pilgrims who hold hajj entry permits were allowed meanwhile those who do not have hajj permits were ordered by the airport authority to return to Bahrain.
He stressed the importance of compliance with the officially permitted number of hajj pilgrims per caravanserai and also comply with the list of names processed through the electronic system of the Saudi Hajj Ministry's Portal otherwise many problems happen upon arrival of hajj pilgrims without official permit.
