The Director-General of Anti-corruption and Economic and Electronic Security announced on Monday the arrest of a director at a government authority for accepting a bribe of BD12,000.
He said the directorate was informed that the director had asked for the amount to offer a service. Subsequently, an investigation was launched and he was arrested red-handed after obtaining a warrant from the Public Prosecutor and referred to the Public Prosecution.
