Human Rights Ministry, during the next week, will host a workshop to shed light on the Arab Charter on Human Rights and its mechanism of action and to review Arab legislations guarantor of human rights, with the participation of senior advisers of Arab Commission for Human Rights (ACHR), (Committee Charter).
ACHR is the first Arab mechanism concerns with following up the process of human rights in the ACHR state members. ACHR comprises independent members who are elected on the basis of their expertise, who independently work from their respective countries.
The Human Rights Ministry stressed Bahrain's keenness on bolstering atmosphere of transparency, freedom of opinion and expression and respecting human rights that are guaranteed by the Constitution. In addition to promoting citizens' rights in light of the recent constitutional amendments.
Bahrain has won the Committee Charter membership, which underscores Bahrain's human rights clean record.
