Baghdad Operations Command has denied media reports alleging that clashes erupted between Iraqi security forces and Daesh militants near Baghdad International Airport, the US-funded Radio Sawa reported.
These reports are baseless and unfounded, said spokesman for Baghdad Operations Command Brigadier General Saad Maan.
Baghdad airport on the western edge of the Iraqi capital is safe from Daesh attacks, he said.
