Awqaf Minister Mohamad Mohktar Gomaa has said Islam forbids all acts of treachery and treason.
The minister condemned in a statement on Monday as un-Islamic and inhuman the terrorism "created by Zionism and colonialism to have power over our region."
He urged for more effort to help prevent Muslim youths from adopting radical views and extremist ideas.
