Units from the Algerian military killed on Friday four armed men in two separate operations in the country, the National Defence command said.
In a statement, it said a detachment of the People's National Army (ANP) of Bouira (1st Military Region) eliminated three terrorists near the dam of Asserdoun, south of Lakhdaria and recovered two Kalashnikov automatic rifles and one semi-automatic rifle.
The statement noted the operation was "part of the fight against terrorism and during a search and combing operation, still under way.
The forces also killed yesterday a terrorist and arrested another in another operation at the forest of Machraa Sfa, near the area of Foussa, in the province of Tiaret, the statement noted.
"The operation, which is still underway, has allowed recovering of two Kalashnikov automatic rifles, a huge quantity of ammunition, mobile phones and various objects," the statement added.
