Meeting

Algeria's views on regional and international situation are "wise and reasoned," chairman of Algeria-France Association, Jean-Pierre Chevènement said Thursday in Algiers.
"The views of Algeria (on regional and international issues) are always valuable because they are wise and reasoned," Chevènement told the press after his meeting with Foreign minister, Ramtane Lamamra.
Besides, the French official said that his meeting with Lamamra and previously with the Deputy Minister for Maghreb and African Affairs, Abdelkader Messahel, focused on the situation in Mali and other Algeria's neighboring countries as well as current problems in the world.
"There are no issues on which we (Ageria-France) do not need to consult each other," Chevènement stressed, adding that Algeria could give "informed opinion" on regional and international issues.
The chairman of Algeria-France Association also said he came to Algeria "educate himself" and "define common positions" so as to be more "efficient".
