Sudan ambassador to Egypt, Sudan permanent envoy to Arab league, Abdul-Mahmoud Abdul-Halim

Sudan Ambassador to Egypt and Sudan permanent envoy to the Arab League, Abdul-Mahmoud Abdul-Halim, has affirmed Sudan keenness over realization of security and stability in Libya, in accordance with Sudan foreign policy and the distinguished fraternal relations between the two nations.
In a press release, Ambassador Abdul-Halim said that due to the concern of Sudan with the situation in sister Libya, senior Sudanese officials will join the high-level delegation of Libya neighboring countries that will leave for Libya next week to prepare for a visit of the Foreign Minister to Libya, in compliance with a decision adopted by the ministerial meeting of Libya neighbors which was held in Cairo.
On the reports on a Sudanese plane that carried weapons to Libya, Sudan Ambassador to Cairo said that Sudan government has categorically denied these claims and explained that the plane was in a routine trip to supply the joint Sudanese - Libya forces with food materials and ammunition in accordance with the agreement establishing these joint forces.
He said that the last trip of the Sudanese plane was made at the request of the co-commander of the Sudanese - Libyan forces, Col. Suleiman Hamid, who attended the plane's landing at Al-Kafra airport in presence of the commander of the Libyan National Army, dignitaries and tribal chieftains.
He said that the co-chairman of the joint Sudanese - Libyan forces, Col. Suleiman Hamid, has clearly explained that the Sudanese plane was really in a special mission of the joint Sudanese - Libyan forces.
Ambassador Abdul-Halim said that Sudan government has asked the Libyan government to correct its statement concerning the plane and to apologize for its incorrect accusations against Sudan.
